Chopped FirewoodFuelwood represents 90% of Cambodia's national energy consumption. With increasing pressure on the country's wood supplies, WENetCam promotes techniques for the efficient use of fuelwood and charcoal. We also assist development of alternative fuels from agro-waste like coconut husks and sugar-cane trash.

Fuel efficient cookstoves maximise the energy obtained from firewood. Todate over 18000 Improved Cookstoves (ICS) have been distributed Improved Palm Sugar Stovethrough WENetCam and it's members. These stoves yield firewood savings of 37500 tonnes per year. Our Manuals on how to construct and use improved cookstoves can be viewed and downloaed from this site or ordered from the WENetCam office.
